Plated‑coated white corundum is a new type of corundum material, formed by high‑temperature calcination of white corundum. It retains the sharpness of ordinary white corundum while enhancing toughness, exhibits no dark streaks internally, and offers improved compressive strength. Moreover, after coating with metal salts and ceramics, it becomes more adhesive. Cutting discs made from this material are sharper and more durable.
